Hit play... listen for 2 minutes and then read.

I can't stop listening to this cover by The Weeknd off his new album, "Echoes of Silence".  Yesterday I told myself I wouldn't be 'that guy' who posts something every day.  But I can't help it.  Dirty Diana is my personal favorite Michael Jackson song and to finally hear a successful cover 23 years later is something worth sharing. I feel like sharing this song with the rest of you is my good deed for the rest of 2011.

My good friend Terrence put me on to The Weeknd months ago and it has taken some time for me to truly appreciate his music.  After listening to D.D, I finally give him my stamp of approval.

Just as a precaution, if you are NOT looking to start a family, leave The Weeknd at the door of the bedroom.

Welcome 2012, I've been waiting for you...

.... and so has everybody else.  Every December the entire world seems to become anxious to welcome the new year.  We all think that once that ball drops, we begin the year with a clean slate.  The negative moments during the past 12 months can be erased and we get another 365 days to redeem ourselves.  We create New Year's Resolutions and swear we are turning a new leaf.  Sure, there are a few who actually fulfill their resolutions for the duration of the year but for the most part, we all last a week or so.

I am no different.  I'm excited for 2012.  Just like I was for 2011. I have spent most of 2011 planting seeds and networking throughout Columbus.  The result of my hard work during 2011 lacks hard evidence.  What I have been left with is new relationships and a story to tell.  I have met new and unique individuals while trying my best to manage my already existing friendships. Together, they have made the past 12 months extremely interesting.

Instead of making my New Year's Resolution something basic, I intend to do something productive.  I want to maximize my self-worth by setting higher personal expectations by introducing new pressure. No better way to measure my success than creating a blog accessible to the world.  I have some new ventures and exciting projects in the works that will be revealed throughout 2012.  I want to share these projects with you as they evolve.  If I fail... you will witness my failure along the way.  If I succeed... we will celebrate together.

So join me on my pursuit to where ever I end up...

Oh, and just like the rest of the world, I believe 2012 will be my year!
